Today, June 30th, 2023, Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01), a Navy Veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, announced that hundreds of new jobs will be coming to Suffolk County after Advanced Acoustic Concepts and BAE Systems were awarded government defense manufacturing contracts.

“The defense industry plays a critical role in Suffolk County’s economy, providing hundreds of good-paying jobs,” said LaLota. “My position on the Armed Services Committee allows me to better advocate for this important part of our economy and better prepare our military to take on growing threats from China and Russia. I will always fight to ensure that Suffolk County gets the federal resources and funding we deserve.”
