Cops: Hempstead Man Urinating in Parking Lot Busted with Cocaine, "Ghost" Handguns, Knife

Charles Arbas, 34, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, and more, police say.

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for an incident that occurred in Garden City Park.
 
According to Detectives, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) Officers while on routine patrol observed Charles Arbas, 34, of 47 Chase Street, urinating in the parking lot of 2349 Jericho Turnpike. The defendant then entered a 2010 Chevy Suburban. 
 
Officers approached the vehicle and after a thorough investigation they recovered three (3) cut straws containing a white powdery substance believed to be Cocaine, two (2) loaded “Ghost” handguns and two (2) clear Ziploc bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be Cocaine. The defendant was placed into Police custody without incident.
 
Defendant Arbas is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, four (4) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Unlawful Possession of an Ammunition Feeding Device, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, three (3) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Disorderly Conduct. 
 
He was arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
