Nassau Authorities Report Man Arrested After Breaking into Sea Cliff Residence

Sea Cliff, NY - May 29, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Sea Cliff man for Burglary that occurred in Sea Cliff on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 10:25 am.
 
According to detectives, a 55 year old female was sleeping in her 8th Avenue residence when she awoke and observed defendant William Klare, 35, leaning over her. The victim yelled causing the defendant to exit out the basement door last seen south on Dubois Avenue. Third Precinct police were called and a short time later police located the defendant walking south on Glen Cove Avenue in the vicinity of Lafayette Avenue. The defendant was placed into police custody without incident. There were no proceeds.
 
Defendant William Klare is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Petit Larceny (Attempt) He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Monday, May 28, 2018.
