You might know Long Island funnyman Chris Roach from such hits as Ronkonkomo, Umbrellas Kill, or his stint at Mott from Kevin Can Wait and now this local comedian is playing host to a new show at Governors' Comedy Club called Yellow Pad Thursday where national headliners will be working out new material live and in-person.

Working from yellow notepads, comedy club napkins, diner receipts and anywhere else that they scribble out inspiration, the comedians will work up jokes from their scratch pads straight to the stage.

“Ya never know who will pop in,” Roach says on his Instagram page.

The show starts on Thursday May 26 (Roach’s birthday!) and he told LongIsland.com that he hopes to make it a monthly thing.
