Fresh cookie maker, Chip City, is expanding on Long Island this year. The cookie shop already has 18 locations throughout New York and the East Coast.

Chip City Northport will open at 1945 Jericho Turnpike followed by Chip City Merrick opening at 2012 Merrick Road. They are also planning a shop at 1240 Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon, according to restaurantnews.com.

Chip City began as a hobby between childhood friends Phillips and Teddy Gailas, as the duo challenged each other on who could make the best cookie. They opened their first store in Astoria Queens in 2017.

Most recently, Chip City received a $10 million investment from Shake Shack founder, Danny Meyer. Now, Chip City is expanding rapidly throughout its home market while on a path to having 40 locations by the end of 2023.

Chip City has two other locations on Long Island at 3458 Long Beach Road in Oceanside and 951 Franklin Avenue in Garden City.
