Murray Helps Residents Prepare for Job Search

Bellport, NY - April 30, 2014 - Dean Murray, former NYS Assemblyman and owner/publisher of the “Long Island Job Finder” employment newspaper and website participated in a job readiness workshop to help those in the community that are looking for work. The workshop was hosted by the Bellport/Hagerman/East Patchogue Alliance in partnership with Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Kepert and St. Joseph the Worker Church. Murray shared his expertise in areas such as interviewing for a job, the proper way to dress for an interview and how to get the best results at job fairs. Over the course of the last 15 years, Murray, through his Long Island Job Finder employment newspaper and website (www.Lijobfinder.com) has helped tens of thousands of Long Islanders find new jobs or new careers. Murray says, “I think it’s so important for business leaders to give back to the community by working with government officials and community leaders to help those in need.” Murray adds, “I’m happy to be able to share my years of experience in the employment industry and am hopeful that this workshop will be beneficial for those who are looking for work.”
 
Roughly 30 people from the Bellport, Hagerman and East Patchogue communities attended the event.
