Nassau County Police Seeking Suspect in East Meadow Bank Robbery

An unknown male white entered the Peoples United Bank, approached a teller, and passed a note demanding money, cops say.

East Meadow, NY - March 26, 2019 - The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 4:22 pm in East Meadow.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, an unknown male white entered the Peoples United Bank located at 2425 Hempstead Turnpike within the Stop & Shop Supermarket. The subject approached the teller and passed a note demanding money. The teller complied and the subject fled the scene on foot southbound with an undisclosed amount of US currency.
 
The subject is described as a white male, in his 40’s, 5’6”–5’7” tall, 190 lbs., with black hair, black and white colored full beard, and medium complexion.  He was wearing a light blue knit cap (with white “National Grid” logo), navy blue ski jacket, navy blue hoodie and dark pants.
 
There were 2 employees and no customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
