Take in the Water 

Harborfront Park was designed to make the most of the village’s waterfront and offers something for everyone to enjoy. Relax and take in the perfect views of the harbor or walk the promenade for a scenic seaside stroll. The park has lots for children too! Chandlery Waterfront Playground is complete with a picnic area for afternoon lunch and water sprinklers during the summer. The park also offers a variety of seasonal activities. During the summer listen to live music or catch an outdoor movie. And, during the winter you can enjoy some ice skating. The rink opens to the public every November through March.

 

Shop, Sip, Sample 

Port Jeff offers lots of shopping with clothing boutiques like Kate & Hale to Lavender Fields, a curated home decor shop. Foodies can also taste and shop their way through town sampling everything from wine, to beer and cheese. Pindar and Duck Walk vineyards have a Main Street outpost that offers tastings and wine by the glass. Beer lovers can visit Port Jeff Brewing Co. tasting room, which has 11 rotating taps to sip from. Next, stop into C’est Cheese to sample some artisanal fromage, then stroll on over to The Amazing Olive where you can taste test some seriously delicious extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars.

 

Catch a Show at Theatre Three 

Theatre lovers can watch a variety of shows at Theatre Three. The theatre is located right in the heart of the village and offers a full selection of live productions throughout the year, from musicals to comedies and concerts to children’s productions.There’s also a cafe on the lower level to grab a quick bite. Buff Up on Your History

Port Jeff is filled with lots of history and what better way to learn more about a place than exploring how it came about? Visit the Mather House Museum, a few steps away from Main Street. Take a guided tour of the Mather family house (circa 1840-1860) and surrounding buildings that were home to John Mather, a major shipbuilder and his family. Visitors can view period furnishings, shipbuilding artifacts, tools, maps, pictures, and clothing from the family. The tour lasts about 40 minutes, with a suggested donation of $5 per person.

 

Let’s Eat!

Danford’s Hotel & Marina is worthy of adding to your Port Jeff itinerary. Its restaurant Wave Seafood & Steak is the perfect stop for waterfront dining with a delectable menu. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and Happy Hour. If you’re craving Italian, head on over to Pasta Pasta for, you guessed it, pasta dishes as well as other traditional Italian fare. For lunch, warm up with a bowl of Ramen from Slurp Ramen or try some vegetarian options at Tiger Lily Café.
