Brazen Robbery Duo Busted: Queens and Brooklyn Women Face Charges After Theft and Scuffle at E. Garden City Store

Two females entered Sacks Off 5th and began to place items into a large brown handbag. The subjects left the store without making a payment for the merchandise.

The Public Information Office reports the arrests of two (2) individuals for a Robbery that occurred on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 5:04 pm in E. Garden City.
 
According to police, two (2) females entered Sacks Off 5th located at 1070 Old Country Road and began to place items into a large brown handbag. The subjects left the store without making a payment for the merchandise.
 
Store employees confronted the subjects outside of the store and a struggle ensued. Alexis Zambrano Padilla, 27, of 143-18 Liberty Avenue, Queens, refused to comply with verbal commands. She forcibly pushed and scratched the male employee, 27, on the right side of his face. A second male employee, 36, assisted in subduing the Zambrano Padilla. Jessenia Ramirez, 27, of 193 Court Street, Brooklyn, interfered with Asset Protection while they placed Zambrano Padilla into custody.
 
Upon police arrival, Ramirez was arrested.
 
The defendants are charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree. Zambrano Padilla has an additional charge of Criminal Possession of an Anti-Security Item.
 
They will be arraigned on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at First District court, Hempstead.
