Prepare for many rounds of severe storms to hit the island today, Tuesday August 13th. It is expected that the storms will begin around noon and continue until 11 p.m. These storms are expected to be heavy with flooding and may cause loss of electricity to some areas. There is also a chance of hail, torrential rain, and strong winds hitting the island and accompanying the storm. It is also important to note that some areas in Long Island may have a slight chance of seeing a tornado.

Be sure to prepare for this storm as you may want to stay indoors all day. Although most of this week seems to be gloomy and cloudy, the weekend will probably end that with sunny conditions and clear skies!
