Dear Long Islander,

After a scorcher of a week, Long Island will have a much welcomed weekend of cooler weather, a nice reprieve from the from the brutal heat that's been beating down and calamatous thunderstorms that have been blowing through. This weekend is jam packed with events and things to do, and it looks like we'll be able to enjoy some sunshine at least through the weekend. Some of the highlights this weekend include a motorcycle ride to benefit rescue animals, a fireworks display on the East End, tours, scuba diving, craft shows, and more. Looking for some inexpensive fun? Why not visit one of Long Island's Parks - pack a picnic, and enjoy the mild weather!
