The summer may officially start in June, but July has the distinction of being the first full month of summertime fun! With the sun shining bright and warm temperatures bringing Long Islanders out for family activities, the 31-day month is unsurprisingly packed with entertainment for all ages. First and foremost, the fact that Independence Day falls on a Wednesday means that many will be able to enjoy a much-deserved extended weekend! Those extra few days will certainly come in handy due to the amount of parades, holiday festivals, and fireworks displays to enjoy!

Feet will be tapping throughout the month thanks to dozens of outdoor concerts at local Summer Concert Series. Seemingly endless numbers of beloved tribute acts and local favorites will be performing in a wide variety of genres at local parks and other outdoor venues, ensuring that everyone has a show to look forward to!

Those who are looking to put the pedal to the metal and rev up for some fun will find quite a bit to love at one of the many Car & Motorcycle Shows scheduled this month. Vintage classics and original customs will all be on display both for those that love to drive and ones that are not quite old enough yet!

Clearly 31 days is not a lot of time to enjoy all that Long Island has to offer this July! So without further ado, here are the must-attend events that you'll want to mark on your calendar!
