Just as we celebrate the birthdays of friends and loved ones, it only makes sense to celebrate the birthday of the country we all love. Even at 242 years old, the United States is not too old for a lively celebration! From fireworks displays to town parades, Long Islanders will be celebrating the 4th of July with a number of fantastic events. Plus, since the holiday falls on a Wednesday this year, the festivities will fall across five days, ensuring that everyone can participate in the fun.
