It looks like the weekend will start off soggy, courtesy of Tropical Storm Andrea.  You know that your kids will utter those dreaded words, "I'm bored!"  They could proclaim they'll simply die if they don't get to do something fun immediately.

Here are some sanity-saving suggestions on how to keep the family occupied.  Have a pajama party.  It is a great way to stay home and be comfortable. Create your own singing competition show in the family room.  You might discover that the next American Idol is living in your house.  They can then perform their song for the entire family.  Or take out a cookbook and create a culinary masterpiece with your chef assistants.

As the end of the school year is fast approaching, let kids write down the highlights of the year.  Or write a letter or draw a picture for the teacher to include with their gift for the last day of school.

Bring some of the good old days back by playing some retro board games or the beloved Rubik's Cube.  A game of Twister is sure to bring out the giggling while trying to get your hands and feet on the right colored spots.
