The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public in the gruesome find of dead roosters in Centereach yesterday.

Centereach, NY - January 14, 2015 - The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public in the gruesome find of dead roosters in Centereach yesterday.

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the agency was contacted by Suffolk County Police that a white garbage bag was found at approximately 4pm on the corner of Henry Road and Edward Street in Centereach. Three dead chickens had been beheaded.

Gross said that it is too early in the investigation to rule out a religious or cult ceremony.
