Super Bowl Sunday!

This passed Sunday was one of America's favorite sporting events - the Super Bowl. And in true New York fashion, my family decided we were going to celebrate big to enjoy watching the NY Giants take on the Patriots. For us, that means making tons of delicious snacks from scratch - the unhealthy (yet absolutely delicious) things we steer away from during the rest of the year.
Potato skins, Chips & Dip, those tiny little hot dogs with toothpicks, and this year, a new addition to the line up: pineapple slices wrapped in bacon! The new addition certainly stole the show, and were enjoyed by everyone.
Of course the highlight of the evening was the Giants victory over the Patriots - everyone was on the edge of their seats for the entire 4th quarter of the game.
Did anyone else make any amazing snacks for the Super Bowl? Care to share a recipe or story?

Yeah, we pigged out on my end too. Homemade guacamole, sour cream & onion dip, nachos, chicken parm heroes, shrimp quesadillas, Buffalo wings, and not-so-homemade jalapeno poppers. That would have made for a great night even if it weren't the Super Bowl.
