NCPD Responds to Alleged Threat Made Against New Hyde Park High School

New Hyde Park, NY - December 14, 2017 - The Third Squad is investigating an Unusual Incident that occurred on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in New Hyde Park.
 
According to detectives, New Hyde Park Memorial High School – 500 Leonard Blvd was contacted by a student that an unknown person posted on Snapchat that they were going to “shoot up” the school on Thursday, December 14, 2017. The police were notified and responded before the start of the school day.  All entrances to the school and the area were monitored by police for any suspicious activity. There were no incidents. All students remained safe during the school day.
 
This investigation is ongoing.
