Arrest Made in Connection to Robbery of Female Accepting Ride Home from Jones Beach

According to Detectives, a female victim, 18, while at Jones Beach accepted a ride home from three acquaintances. During the ride, the three suspects began to ask the victim for money.

Updated - July 16, 2015 - Second Squad detectives report the arrests of Kevin Marriot, 19, of Hicksville, and Bob Tatem, 22, of Levittown, in connection with the below listed robbery.  Marriot and Tatem are each being charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, 07/16/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.

Levittown, NY - July 11, 2015 - The Second Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred at 5:55pm on Saturday July 11, 2015 in Levittown.

According to Detectives, the female victim, 18, while at Jones Beach did accept a ride home from three acquaintances.  During the ride, the three suspects began to ask the victim for money.  The driver parked the car on Loring Road and when the victim refused to give them money, the suspects began to punch the victim in the face and head causing substantial pain.  As the victim attempted to exit the car, the driver drove the car a few feet causing the victim to sustain bruising and pain to her right arm and ribs as well as a right foot fracture.  Two witnesses observed the incident and assisted the victim.  The victim was treated and released from the Nassau University Medical Center.  The proceeds were approximately $200 US currency and a TD Bank card.

Arrested in connection with this Robbery was defendant Alexa Richter, 18, of Levittown.  She is charged with Robbery 2nd degree and will be arraigned in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead on Monday July 13, 2015.

The investigation is ongoing.
