St. James, NY - December 5, 2017 - The Knox School is thrilled to share the news that Senior Isabella Benrubi ‘18, who is a member of the Long Island Youth Orchestra (LIYO) recently won a soloist spot after auditioning at the LIYO Concerto Competition. This accomplishment will result in Isabella playing the Lalo Concerto as a soloist with the LIYO accompanying her on June 10, 2018 at the W.T. Clarke High School Auditorium, in Westbury, New York.
 
In addition to Isabella’s recent LIYO accomplishment, Isabella will be performing with the Salome Chamber Orchestra’s Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on February 26, 2018. Mr. Patrick Barry, Chair of Visual and Performing Arts stated, "Isabella lends her remarkable musicianship to whatever ensemble she joins. Her technical mastery combined with her innate sensitivity creates an engaging, memorable experience for all listeners."
 
Isabella Benrubi has been a day student at The Knox School since 9th grade, and is currently submitting applications to highly selective colleges and universities with exceptional music programs. The School is extremely proud of this amazingly talented young lady and wishes her much success in her future endeavors.
