Brentwood, NY - December 4th, 2013 - Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Edward Webber and Suffolk County Police Chief of Department James Burke will recognize members of the department who have been promoted during the past 12 months in a ceremony on December 5 at 10 a.m. at Suffolk County Community College.
Among the 63 promotions are Inspector William Murphy, Commanding Officer of the Fourth Precinct, and three deputy inspectors, John Cahill of the Organized Crimes Bureau, Mark Fisher of the Fifth Precinct and William Read of the Second Precinct.
The ceremony will also include members promoted to the ranks of captain, detective lieutenant, lieutenant, detective sergeant, sergeant and detective.
