It’s the week of Christmas! Since school is out for many kids, take the time to enjoy some classic holiday performances at Long Island theaters. There’s also a variety of nightlife entertainment going on to celebrate the holiday. On Monday, enjoy Barnaby Saves Christmas at Theatre Three. During the evening, go out for a night of dancing and drinks at Mulcahy’s Pub. Tuesday is Christmas. Most businesses will remain closed in observance of the holiday. On Wednesday, enjoy acoustic duets from The Growlers at Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center. Shandon Court is also hosting a fun night of trivia questions with cash prizes. On Thursday, enjoy the classic children’s musical Frosty the Snowman at BayWay Arts Center. During the evening, head over to Cinema Arts Centre for a viewing of The Rolling Stones: The Ron Wood Years. Check out the details below!

MONDAY – DECEMBER 24, 2012

Who: Barnaby Saves Christmas At Theatre Three
Info: With the kids off from school for the holiday and it being Christmas Eve, head out to enjoy a theater performance of Barnaby Saves Christmas. Watch as characters set off to save Christmas and new friends are met along the way. Everyone comes away learning the true meaning of Christmas, Hanukah and the holiday season.

Who: Winter Weeds At Mulcahy’s Pub
Info: Enjoy a night of dancing and drink specials with DJs Johnny K and Mikey C providing music. Its Bud Light bottles and drinks are also going for $3.50.

Who: Acoustic Duets At Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center
Info: Enjoy acoustic duets from The Growlers. The Growlers is made up of talent including Leah Kay, Jim Fleming and Brian Vance. They’ll offer a performance with music from The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, The Grateful Dead and others.

Who: Quiz Night At Shandon Court
Info: Are you smarter than a fifth grader? Take part in quiz night at Shandon Court to find out. It’ll cover a wide range of topics, including sports, science, pop culture, history, music, movies and more. The Quizmaster for the night is Susan Dorsey. Play in a team of up to five players. Those in first and second place win cash prizes.

THURSDAY – DECEMBER 27, 2012

Who: Frosty The Snowman At BayWay Arts Center
Info: Enjoy a winter classic children’s musical. Children work together with Frosty and the mayor’s daughter of Chillsville to stop an evil business woman from melting all the snow.

Who: The Rolling Stones: The Ron Wood Years At Cinema Arts Centre
Info: Bill Shelley hosts the evening with a film to celebrate The Rolling Stones. It’ll also feature classic songs, including “Miss You,” “Start Me Up,” “Emotional Rescue,” “Beast of Burden,” “Waiting on a Friend” and much more.
Cost: $10 Members; $15 Public
