Man Arrested for Firing Shots Outside Hospital in Bay Shore

Suffolk County Police today arrested a Riverhead man after he fired shots outside a Bay Shore hospital this morning.

Bay Shore, NY - November 26, 2016 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Riverhead man after he fired shots outside a Bay Shore hospital this morning.

Third Precinct police officers responded to a call of shots fired in a parking lot outside Southside Hospital, located at 301 East Main St., at 5:50 a.m. Officers responded and arrested John Gamble. It was determined that he fired multiple rounds from a 9mm handgun.

Third Squad detectives charged Gamble, 35, of Riverhead, with Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on November 27.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
