We picked these Long Island festivals to get you in the holiday mood this season. Enjoy exhibits, music, food and fun for all ages.

 

30th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees - Friday, November 29th-December 1st, 10am-5pm. Exhibits, gingerbread village, designer trees, live entertainment, vendor mart and more. Includes entry to the festival and Cradle of Aviation Museum and free Indoor ice skating. Skate rentals at no charge too! Limited times. Location: Cradle of Aviation Museum, Charles Lindbergh Blvd, Garden City.

 

 

10th Annual Huntington “Holiday Lights & Sounds” Festival - Saturday, November 30th, 1pm. Full day of entertainment and activities starting with Small Business Saturday, continuing with Long Island’s Largest Electric Light Parade kicking off at 5:30pm, ending with Santa’s arrival at the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Location: Huntington Village.

 

'Tis The Season 2019 at Long Island Maritime Museum - Saturday, December 7th, 4-7pm. Held at the Long Island Maritime Museum, 'Tis The Season is a celebration of West Sayville's storied history. Attendees will enjoy a holiday lantern tour, crafts, face painting, music, and more. Be sure to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots! Location: Long Island Maritime Museum, 88 West Avenue, West Sayville.

 

 

Freeport's Nautical Mile of Lights Annual Boat Parade- Saturday, December 7th, 7pm. Unique holiday event featuring wildly enthusiastic boat owners decorating their vessels and homeowners along the waterfront parade route trimming their backyards in holiday decorations. Kids Holiday Festival - Sunday, December 8th, 10am-4pm. Fun holiday festival with plenty of activities for the whole family. Location: Hilton Long Island/Huntington, 598 Broadhollow Road, Melville.

 

 

Stony Brook Village's 2019 Holiday Festival - Sunday, December 8th, 12-5:30pm. Enjoy an afternoon of live music, decorated trees/windows, the town tree lighting, and more. Location: Stony Brook Village Center, 111 Main Street, Stony Brook.

 

Alive After Five Winter Wonderland - Thursday, December 12th, 5-9pm. From their website: Enjoy the spirit of the holidays with retail and restaurant deals. Main Street in Patchogue will be closed for this event in order to accommodate winter activities. Location: Main Street, Patchogue.

 

Candlelight Evenings Holiday Show - Last two weekends in December, Friday-Sunday. Candlelight Evenings transform the rustic landscape of Old Bethpage Village Restoration into a magical appearance with the Village’s historic homes illuminated by candles and holiday decorations. A fun-filled holiday experience featuring music, 1866 decorated Christmas Tree, 

holiday brass quartet and fiddle music, Civil War era Christmas songs, contra-dancing, stories of Christmases past, traditional bonfire and hot apple cider. Location: Old Bethpage Village Restoration, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage.
