NCPD: Man Arrested for Freeport Burglary

A man has been arrested in relation to an October robbery.

Freeport, NY - November 2, 2013 - First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Freeport man for a Burglary that occurred on October 18, 2013 at 10:26 pm in Freeport.
 
According to detectives, Juan Plasencia, 23, of 204 Church Street was observed by a video surveillance system entering the Southside Avenue residence of a male acquaintance where he removed a laptop computer, two watches and diamond earrings.
 
Plasencia, at 11:00 pm on the same day, along with another male yet to be arrested, were again captured on video entering the residence with the intent to remove the victim’s flat screen television. The defendant and his accomplice left the home without the TV.
 
A subsequent investigation by detectives led them to Plasencia. He was located at his residence on November 3, 2013 at 4:30 pm and placed under arrest without incident.
 
The defendant is charged with two (2) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 11/04/2103.
