Suffolk County, NY - October 28th, 2013 - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo endorsed Bill Lindsay, III for Suffolk County Legislature, citing the candidate's commitment to protecting Suffolk County taxpayers.

"Today I am proud to endorse Bill Lindsay for County Legislator," said Governor Cuomo. "Long Islanders need leaders in Suffolk County who will keep spending under control, balance budgets, and protect taxpayers. Bill Lindsay represents exactly that type of leadership and he is the type of partner I need on the local level to keep moving Suffolk and Long Island forward."

"Governor Cuomo has worked across party lines to protect New York taxpayers and create jobs," Lindsay said.  "Those are the values I want to bring to the Legislature and why this endorsement is so critical."

Lindsay is a small businessman who has served in the local chamber of commerce and wants to continue the work his father, the late Bill Lindsay, began, to fight for Suffolk County families.  Bill will use his private sector experience to make government more efficient and protect Suffolk taxpayers.

Lindsay has pledged to fight to end automatic pay increases for elected officials as well as freeze his own salary and contribute into his health insurance in order to provide leadership to save taxpayer dollars.
