Two Men Robbing East Meadow Fast Food Restaurant Arrested by Off-Duty MTA Officer

The two defendants, both from Freeport, entered the Sonic restaurant at 1724 Hempstead Turnpike, announced a robbery, and threatened the use of a weapon, cops say.

East Meadow, NY - October 23, 2017 - The First Squad reports the arrest of two men for a Robbery that occurred at 10:00pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in East Meadow.
 
According to Detectives, the two defendants entered the Sonic restaurant located at 1724 Hempstead Turnpike, announced a robbery, threatened the use of a weapon (none displayed) and ordered all occupants to the floor.  At that time, an off-duty MTA Police Officer, who was present took immediate police action and placed both defendants under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
 
Defendants Victor Garrison, 17, of Freeport and Edwin Pierre, 18, of Freeport are both charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree.  They will be arraigned Sunday, October 22, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead
