The First Squad reports the arrest of a Deer Park woman for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 9:18 pm in Roosevelt.
According to Detectives, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response (CIRRT) officers while on routine patrol observed a 2018 Hyundai driving southbound on St. Francis Street near the intersection of Gormley Avenue with no headlights or tail lamps.
Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop in front of 4 Andrews Avenue. During the investigation a loaded Glock 9mm was recovered from the vehicle. The defendant, Danielle Barnett, 26, of 90 Burlington Avenue, was arrested without incident.
Defendant Barnett is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and multiple traffic violations. Barnett will be arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead on Friday, October 6, 2023.
