SCPD: Bayport Man Arrested for Multiple Larcenies from Coin-Operated Machines

SCPD arrested Anthony Pitocco of Bayport, 29, for stealing from coin-operated machines throughout Suffolk County.

Suffolk County, NY - October 5, 2018 - Suffolk County Police arrested a Bayport man on Wednesday, October 3 for breaking into and stealing money from coin-operated vacuums and air machines at gas stations throughout Suffolk County.
 
Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to BP, located at 2840 Pond Road in Ronkonkoma, after Anthony Pitocco was observed drilling into the lock of a coin-operated vacuum on October 3 at approximately 7:20 p.m.
 
Following an investigation by officers and detectives from the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Precincts, Pitocco was connected to similar incidents at the following locations during the past two weeks:
 
  • BP, located at 5106 Express Drive North in Holbrook
  • Mobil, located at 1194 Portion Road in Holtsville
  • Gulf, located at 286 Express Drive South in Medford
  • Mobil, located at 5991 Express Drive South in Holbrook
  • Exxon, located at 2309 Route 25 in Centereach
  • Gulf, located at 3309 Sunrise Highway in Islip Terrace
  • Mobil, located at 3775 Express Drive North in Ronkonkoma
  • BP, located at 2840 Pond Road in Ronkonkoma
  • Mobil, located at 4740 Sunrise Highway in Bohemia
  • Applegreen, located at 770 Montauk Highway in East Patchogue
  • Shell, located at 4576 Sunrise Highway in Oakdale
  • Valero, located at 4625 Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook
Pitocco was charged with three counts Grand Larceny 4th Degree, one count of Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, 10 counts Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, one count of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and seven counts Petit Larceny. Pitocco, 29, will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and arraigned on October 5 at First District Court in Central Islip
