Hempstead, NY - September 8, 2016 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, September 08, 2016 at 1:14 pm in Hempstead.
According to detectives, a male was riding his motorcycle westbound on Front Street near Burston Street, when he fell off the motorcycle and landed into the eastbound lanes. A light colored cargo van traveling eastbound struck the victim and failed to stop and render assistance. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
