North Bellport Woman Charged With Starving Her Pitbull By Suffolk County SPCA

The dog was severely underweight, suffering from a skin condition, had not receivedveterinary care, detectives say.
Suffolk SPCA charged Paige Warner of North Bellport, 27, with animal cruelty.

Paige Warner, 27, was charged with one count of cruelty to animals for neglecting Jackson, her 5 year old male pitbull. Jackson, who is severely underweight and suffering from a skin condition, had not received necessary veterinary care.
Jackson was immediately transported to an emergency animal hospital by Brookhaven Animal Control for medical treatment.
Warner is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on October 20, 2018.
