Fifth Squad Detectives report the details of a Robbery that occurred in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, the male victim, 81, was walking in the rear of 164 Rockaway Avenue when he was attacked from behind. The subject, described as a male Hispanic, punched the victim multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground. The subject then removed a cell phone and wallet from the victim and fled on foot westbound on West Valley Stream Boulevard.
The victim suffered substantial pain to his face, arms and chest area. He received medical treatment at the scene. No further description of the subject was available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
