Commack Man in SCPD Custody After Robbing Pet Store at Knifepoint

SCPD arrested Stephen Fromm of Commack, 29, who robbed a pet store in Commack.

Commack, NY - September 28, 2017 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a man who robbed a pet store in Commack, New York, yesterday.
 
Stephen Fromm entered Pet Friends, located at 38 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, on September 26 at 9:50 a.m., approached a cashier, displayed a knife and demanded money. The cashier opened the drawer and Fromm stole cash and fled.  
 
Following an investigation, Fourth Squad detectives arrested Fromm, 29, of Commack, today.
 
Fromm was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He is being held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip tomorrow.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
