Pedestrians Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Ambulette Service Vehicle in Ronkonkoma

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Ronkonkoma today.

Jacqueline Slavin, 53, of Ronkonkoma was treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The ambulette was carry five passengers who were not injured.

Ronkonkoma, NY - August 17, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Ronkonkoma today.

Jacqueline Slavin was walking northbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue at approximately 4 p.m. and attempted to cross Express Drive North when she was struck by an ambulette service vehicle which was traveling westbound on Express Drive North.

Slavin, 53, of Ronkonkoma, was transported by Ronkonkoma Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The operator of the ambulette and the five ambulette passengers were not injured. The ambulette was inspected for a safety check.
