Teen Suffers Seriously Head, Neck Injuries After Diving into Pool, Officials Report

The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of an Aided Case that occurred in Massapequa.
 
According to police, Seventh Precinct police responded to a Hamilton Avenue residence for a 16 year old male victim that was injured while diving into a pool and hitting his head on the bottom. Upon police arrival, Seventh Precinct police observed the victim lying by the side of the pool after his friends pulled him out. 
 
The victim was responsive but unable to move his body. The victim suffered serious injury to his neck, back, and head. Nassau County police along with a Nassau County Police Medic did notify the Nassau County Police Aviation Unit to land a helicopter in a nearby school yard so the victim could be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. While at the hospital the victim began to regain some movement.
