Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.

Police Investigating Serious Vehicular Accident In Massapequa Park

The 68 year old victim suffered head trauma was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance for treated at a local hospital.

NCPD are investigating a Vehicular Accident that occurred in Massapequa Park.

Massapequa Park, NY - August 10, 2018 - The Seventh Squad is investigating a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred in Massapequa Park on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 9:30 am.
 
According to detectives, a 68 year old male was driving a 2015 Dodge attempting to cross Sunrise Highway when he was struck by a 2007 Kenworth flatbed truck operated by a 38 year old male at the intersection of Carrol Drive. The 2007 Kenworth was travelling east on Sunrise Highway. 
 
The 68 year old victim suffered head trauma was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance for  treated at a local hospital. There were no injuries reported to the 38 year old driver. The 2015 Dodge was impounded for a brake and safety check. The investigation is ongoing.
