SCPD: Six People Injured in Melville Vehicle Crash, One Driver Flees the Scene

SCPD are investigating a vehicle crash that injured five people in Melville.

Melville, NY - July 2, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that injured five people in Melville on Sunday, July 1.
 
A man was driving a 2012 Mercedes Benz sedan eastbound on Wilmington Drive near Chiswell Drive when the vehicle veered into the westbound lane and crashed head on into a 2014 Lincoln limousine, owned by Limos Long Island of Westbury, at approximately 1:35 a.m. The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene. He was seen being picked up by a person driving a dark colored sedan immediately after the accident.
 
The driver and all five passengers in the limousine were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
