Officials: Farmingdale Man Arrested Following Crash that Seriously Injured a Passenger

Suffolk County Police arrested a man following a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a passenger in his vehicle in East Farmingdale.
 
Fritz Andral was driving a 2008 Honda sedan southbound on Baiting Place Road when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree. A male passenger in the front seat, Jean Dorcine, 22, of Farmingdale, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. Andral was transported to the same hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released. A female passenger in the backseat was not injured.  The Honda was impounded for a safety check.
 
First Squad Detectives arrested Andral, 25, of Farmingdale for outstanding warrants unrelated to the crash. He is being held overnight at the First Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
