Stefon Pierre of Queens, 22, was in Haypath Park when he was shot in the abdomen, cops say.
The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of five individuals in connection with a Homicide that originally occurred on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10:24 P.M. in Bethpage.
The defendants, who were all arrested this week, are as follows: Brandon P. Torres, 22, of Staten Island, Kion Carter, 25, of Middle Island, Charles Spinella, 17, of Kings Park, Patricia Quilliam, 19, of Greenlawn, and Dimitri Filacouris, 21, of Old Bethpage.
According to Detectives, a male victim was brought to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, now known as Stefon Pierre, 22 of Queens, was in Haypath Park when he was shot in the abdomen. The victim was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
According to detectives, defendants Carter, Spinella and Quilliam all conspired together with defendant Brandon Tores and victim Stefon Pierre to commit a robbery against defendant Filacouris. Once the group arrived at the park, defendants Tores and Carter met with defendant Filacouris and defendant Tores immediately took out his pistol and robbed defendant Filacouris while threatening him and took 1 pound of Marijuana, a cell phone and keys. Victim Pierre started to walk up to the three during the robbery and defendant Torres shot Pierre as he approached and was taken to Plainview hospital by his co-conspirators and was pronounced by hospital staff on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at approximately 5:37 A.M.
Defendant Kion Carter is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and Murder 2nd degree. Defendant Patricia Quilliam is charged with Robbery 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. Defendant Charles Spinella is charged with Robbery 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. Defendant Dimitri Filacouris is charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree. Defendant Brandon P. Torres is charged with Murder 2nd degree, Robbery 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. All were arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
