Duo Wanted for Shoplifting from Smith Haven Mall Old Navy

Lake Grove, NY - June 24th, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a woman who stole from a Lake Grove store earlier this month.

On June 6 at approximately 3 p.m., two women entered Old Navy, located at 2087 Smith Haven Plaza, and placed numerous clothing items into in-store shopping bags. The women then placed the bags at the checkout counter and stated they would return shortly with money to pay for the clothing.

The pair left the store but returned a few minutes later, grabbed the bags, and ran out without paying for the merchandise.  The thieves fled in a black 2012 four-door Nissan with license plate number GVT6989 that was operated by a black male.

One of the women is described as black with dark shoulder-length hair.  She was wearing a white long-sleeve top and dark-colored leggings. The second woman is described as black and was wearing a black shirt, shorts and a red bandana.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
