Islander's Watch Party Coming to Nassau Coliseum Monday

After members of the Nassau County Republican Majority sent a letter to Islanders leadership last week, the Islanders, and NHL have announced an Islanders Watch party for Monday's Game 5 championship against the Tampa Bay Lightening. The watch party will be inside of the arena. Tickets will be $10, with proceeds benefitting the Islander's Children Foundation. Tickets will go on sale at 7pm tonight (Sunday) on the Islanders website.
 
Following the Announcement, Legislators John Ferretti (R, Levittown), Bill Gaylor (R, Lynbrook) and Tom Mckevitt (R, East Meadow) Offered the following:  “Last week we sent a letter to the Islanders offering to assist them in setting up a community watch party. We are happy to see that the Majority’s offer gained traction and fans will have the option to watch the Isles crush the Lightning together on Monday!”
 
Nassau County Executive Laure Curran issued the following statement in regards to the Islanders watch party.
 
“All I have to say is ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!’ that we will be holding this viewing event," she said. "Big shout out to Jon Ledecky - the best owner in hockey - and the NHL for letting Isles Nation come together to cheer on our boys as they defeat the odds and keep skating their way to the cup.”
