SCPD: New Jersey Man Arrested for Driving Wrong-Way on LIE While on Drugs

Suffolk County Police arrested a man for driving while ability impaired by drugs after he drove the wrong way on the Long Island Expressway.
 
Highway Patrol officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a car travelling westbound on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway near Exit 70. When officers reached the scene, they observed a 2017 Lincoln sedan travelling the wrong way and initiated a traffic stop between Exit 68 and Exit 69.
 
The driver of the Lincoln, Andrew Haber, 54, of Edgewater, NJ, was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and Reckless Driving. He is being held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
