A new sushi place hit in Woodbury. Sushivogue’s menu is everything you would expect from a good sushi joint and more with sushi and sashimi available a la carte. Rolls include vegan, spicy, classic and tempura.
Their specialty rolls shine and include great combinations like Chili Rainbow Roll, made with spicy crab with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white tuna, avocado, shiso, jalapeño and chili sauce on the top, Black Dragon Roll, of shrimp tempura, cucumber with eel, avocado and black caviar on the top, and a Sushi Burrito, with spicy tuna, guacamole, spicy crab, salmon wrapped with white sesame soy paper; burrito style.
A stand out is the viral video inspired Gangnam Style Roll, made of shrimp tempura, cucumber with kimchi, seared NY strip beef and scallions on the top.
Their specialty rolls also have some superhero-inspired combinations. Check out the Wasabi Hulk Roll, tuna, mango, avocado, jalapeño with Cajun tuna and crushed wasabi peas on the top, the AquaMan Roll, spicy tuna, jalapeño with guacamole, spicy salmon and Doritos crunch on the top, and the Black Widow Roll, soft shell crab tempura with eel, avocado and black caviar on the top.
They also have a Charlie Brown Roll, of coconut shrimp, cucumber wrapped with purple rice, topped with mango and seared scallops with peanuts on the top.
On Yelp, David L, from Brooklyn, said that Sushivogue was one of the best sushi restaurants he’s ever been to.
“The wait staff was very attentive and the food was amazing,” he wrote. “You can tell the difference in the food quality compared to other similar sushi restaurants. Will definitely be coming back.”
Amy Y, from Little Neck, gave it five stars.
“This new restaurant in Woodbury offers many unique dishes that are beyond what I expect,” he wrote. “Their names in the menu may sound the same at the other restaurants, but the quality of the food is impressive. Everything is fresh and tasty.”
