NCPD: Two Brooklyn Men Advertised Heroin on Craigslist, Then Sold to Undercover Cop

NCPD reports the arrest of Jalen Robinson and Kamel Wells, both of Brooklyn, for possession of heroin.

Baldwin, NY - May 1, 2018 - Long Island Heroin Task Force detectives report the arrest of two Brooklyn men for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 5:56 p.m. in Baldwin.
 
According to the Narcotics-Vice bureau detectives, defendant Jalen Robinson, 16, placed a Craigslist ad selling heroin. He then agreed to sell a quantity of heroin to another for an agreed upon amount of U.S. currency at a predetermined location in Baldwin. When the defendant arrived at the location, he was placed under arrest. He was found to be in possession of 40 envelopes containing heroin. He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree.
 
Defendant Kamel Wells, 23, arranged transportation for defendant Robinson in the sale of heroin. He is charged with Criminal Facilitation 4th degree.
 
Both defendants were arraigned on Monday, April 30, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
