Man Arrested for Criminal Mischief Involving Graffiti at Temple

Freeport, NY - April 18, 2015 - First Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for criminal mischief involving graffiti which occurred in Freeport on Wednesday, 04/08/15 at 9:50 A.M.

According to detectives, Serge Delaleu, 44, used a red marker to write derogatory ramblings on the front doors of B’nai Israel Temple located at 91 North Bayview Ave. Additionally, the defendant was found to have written similar ramblings and swastikas, in the month of April, in the Baldwin and Roosevelt areas at several random locations.

First Squad detectives located Delaleu on Friday, 04/17/15 at Charles St. in Roosevelt, where he was  placed under arrest.  He is being charged with five counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, five counts of Making Graffiti, and two counts of Aggravated Harassment 1st Degree.  He was arraigned on Saturday, 04/18/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
