Queens, NY - April 8th, 2016 - The 2015 National League pennant champions New York Mets are once again teaming up with Island Harvest Food Bank for the annual “Home Run to End Hunger” event, sponsored by Petro Home Services, to raise funds to help provide food support to the more than 300,000 Long Islanders who face hunger each and every day.

Fans of Island Harvest and the Mets are invited to come out to Citi Field on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 5:10 p.m., for a pre-game party, in the exclusive Foxwoods Suite, featuring cocktails, dinner, exciting auction prizes, and special appearances by Mr. Met and a surprise Mets alumni player. After the pre-game festivities, guests will watch the National League East champions take on their division rivals, the Washington Nationals, at 7:10 p.m., from specially selected field-level seats.

Tickets cost $185 per person ($155 for children under 12), and include admission, and complimentary food and beverages during the pre-game event. Reservations, which are required due to limited seating, can be made online. Proceeds will help Island Harvest raise funds to provide food, programs and services that assist our Long Island neighbors who don’t have enough food to put on their tables.

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and typically sell out quickly for this fun and worthwhile charitable event. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available; for information, please call Stacy Parsell at 631-873-4775, or send her an email
