Officials: Bayville Man Charged Knocking on Doors in Carle Place while Impersonating Police Officer

NCPD reports the arrest of Brett Zebrowski of Bayville, 29, for Criminal Impersonation.

Carl Place, NY - April 5, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Bayville man for Criminal Impersonation that occurred on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 4:50 pm in Carle Place.
 
According to detectives, patrol officers were dispatched to a 911 call for a disturbance at Cornwall Lane. Multiple residents informed police an unknown male was knocking on their door and identifying himself as an NYPD Police Officer.
 
A subsequent investigation was conducted and police determined the subject was attempting to locate a person in regards to an ongoing dispute. It was determined Brett Zebrowski, 29, is not a Police Officer in any jurisdiction. Zebrowski was arrested without incident.
 
Defendant Zebrowski is charged with three (3) counts of Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree.  He was arraigned on Wednesday, April 04, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
