The Third Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred at 5:32pm on
Monday, April 3, 2023 in East Garden City.
According to Detectives, an unknown male suspect entered the Sak’s Off 5 th
Avenue located at 1070 Old Country Road and walked over to the jewelry counter.
The female employee observed the suspect reach over the counter, open the jewelry case and begin to remove assorted gold jewelry. The employee attempted to close the case but the suspect forced it open causing the employee to sustain a laceration on her arm. The suspect continued to remove additional jewelry and then did exit the store without paying for the merchandise. The suspect was observed entering a four-door black colored Mazda CX5 and fled eastbound on Old Country Road Westbury. The female employee victim, 50, refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 30-35 years old,
5’8”, 200lbs., wearing a black colored jacket, blue jeans, white colored t-shirt and light-colored mask.
