NCPD: Bronx Man in Custody in Connection with Armed Robbery of Uniondale McDonalds

NCPD reports the arrest of Adrian Torivio of Bronx, 45, for a Robbery in Uniondale.

Uniondale, NY - March 20, 2018 - First Squad Detectives report the details of an arrest for a Robbery that occurred on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 3:23 am in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, Adrian Torivio, 45, of Bronx, did enter McDonalds, 1050 Front Street, through an unlocked door. The defendant then displayed a firearm and directed three employees, a female, 47, a female, 41 and a male, 21, to the rear of the restaurant. The 41 year old female was able to sneak out of the restaurant undetected. 
 
While in the rear of the restaurant, the defendant then struck the 47 year old female victim on the head with a hard object and then removed a cell phone from the male victim’s pocket. Torivio then ordered the victims to open the safe to which they complied. The defendant then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe.
 
Officers, who arrived prior to Torivio fleeing, placed him under arrest without further incident. All proceeds from the safe were recovered. The female victim suffered a non-life threatening head injury.
 
Torivio is charged with Robbery 1st, three counts of Robbery 2nd, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
