Uniondale, NY - March 14, 2018 - Energize Long Island, PSEG Long Island’s Energy Efficiency Conference, will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Hilton Long Island Hotel in Melville. The day-long event is expected to attract over 500 attendees, and will feature fifteen educational workshops to help attendees optimize energy usage, lower costs, and conserve resources. This marks the sixth year PSEG Long Island is hosting this conference.

Highlighting the event will be a keynote presentation from Kevin Harrington, an original member of TV’s hit series Shark Tank. In his remarks, Harrington will share his experiences with bringing new innovations to market, and describe the potential impact of energy efficiency solutions on businesses, residents, and the environment.

Energize Long Island is geared for business owners, property managers and developers, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and consumers who are looking to implement cost-effective, proven, and sustainable energy efficiency solutions.  Led by industry experts, the agenda includes discussions on a wide variety of topics and best practices that benefit the local economy and environment. These include financial incentive programs, an overview of new technologies—including Internet of Things (IoT) and smart services—which lead to reduced energy usage, and conversations on renewable energy sources.  There will also be networking sessions that allow attendees to engage directly with customers who have successfully leveraged PSEG Long Island energy efficiency incentives.

“PSEG Long Island has always recognized its responsibility to advocate energy efficiency for the betterment of our economy, and our environment,” said Michael Voltz, director of energy efficiency and renewables, PSEG Long Island. “The Energize Long Island conference is an essential part of our strategy to educate businesses and residents on the wide range of programs and resources available to help them lower energy consumption and maximize cost savings. Ultimately, we anticipate the conference will provide attendees with the knowledge and inspiration to implement the appropriate energy efficiency measures in their own homes and places of business.”
