A new German restaurant in Stony Brook Village Center called Schnitzels is the result of a collaboration between the owners of Brew Cheese and Crazy Beans. The partnership was announced on Facebook recently.

Brew Cheese is a beer and cheese spot in Northport and Stony Brook. Crazy Beans is a breakfast and lunch restaurant with locations in Miller Place, Stony Brook and Greenport.

After a sign went in the window of the old Grist Mill Eatery deli and pizza place, people got excited about the new concept.

A source at the Stony Brook Village Center said that the restaurant will most likely be a sit-down restaurant with take out. Schnitzels is not expected to open for a few months, they said.

The sign in the window advertises that they will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Stony Brook Village Center also revealed some additional details on their Facebook page.

“They’ll have beer on tap, wine, sandwiches, shareable plates and unique entrees available for takeout or eat in,” they said.
